Press release - Licenced pre-kindergarten services École Rocher du Nord and École des Grands-Vents
Dear parents and community members,
We would like to thank you for your interest in the licensed preschool services at Rocher du Nord and École des Grands-Vents. We understand that many of you are waiting for news regarding the opening of these facilities, and we would like to provide you with an update on the current status of developments.
Currently, the Centre de la Petite Enfance et Famille "Les p'tits cerfs-volants" is receiving a large number of questions regarding the opening of the licensed pre-kindergartens. We would like to inform you that licensed pre-kindergarten services in these two schools are still under development. The provincial government of Newfoundland and Labrador is currently in the tendering stage for renovations to classrooms dedicated to these programs.
We understand the impatience of many parents and community members, however, it is important to stress that we are tied to the progress of the provincial government's administrative procedures and work in this process. We are working closely with the relevant authorities to ensure that the renovations progress according to schedule.
To date, the pre-kindergartens are scheduled to open no later than January 1, 2025. We recognize the importance of these services to families in our community, and we are committed to keeping you informed of any further developments as we approach this date.
